How to use the new 'text' function in GameBlender

1. Press CTRL-X to erase the current scene or fire up Blender.
2.Making the sector.
*First, create a sector with a cube.
*Escape the edition mode and scale it with S-Key
*Set the value SECTOR in the RealTime menu (
)
to the cube.
Result:
Now the sector is finished.
2.Making the figure's system.
*Divide your screen in two parts, like this:
*Make a zoom in the left side and add a plane (ADD->MESH->Plane) (TAB)
You have to download this textures to keep on doing this tutorial.
Downloaded ? extract your archive in a directory.
*Place your cursor in the left side and press 'f'
*Right click the plane, two lines (red and green) appears
Result:
*Switch in the right side and click on 'load'
*Go in the directory where the textures were extracted and select the arialbd.tga file
Result in the right side:
*your mouse cursor in the left side, press u-key and select "Bounds to 64"
Result:
*In the right side, the 4 vertices always selected,...
*Scale the 4 vertices around the '@' figure.
*You can make a zoom like in the 3D windows.
Result:
*Jump in the paint menu (
)
and set the new 'Text' option
Like this:
*Switch in the left side of your screen and escape the UV-MAPPING mode by pressing f-key
Result:
3.Making the text.
*Go in the RealTime menu (
)
*Add a property by pressing on
*Click on Float and select String
*Set up the rest like that:
You have to write 'Text' in the Name's cell, in the right cell, write your own text (here: Hello World !)
To create an analogic clock, you have to set Timer in place of String
4.Don't forget !
don't forget to delete the faces of the cube.
-select the cube
-press TAB
-press A
-press X
-Select 'Only Faces'
-press TAB
-voila :-)
Press P and enjoy...
